We are pleased to share that Genomtec has received a decision from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granting a patent for another invention in the field of molecular diagnostics.
The patent covers solutions related to unique assay for detection of one of the most prevalent bacteria causing STI, kits, and methods for detecting genetic material – a critical component of nucleic acid-based diagnostics and one of the foundations of our diagnostic platforms.
This is Genomtec’s 21st granted patent worldwide. In parallel, we are conducting more than 30 patent proceedings in key international markets, reflecting our long-term commitment to protecting technologies with global commercialization potential.
In recent months, our intellectual property portfolio has also been strengthened by, among others, European patents covering:
- our proprietary approach to diagnostic primer development,
- non-contact heating and temperature detection technology – one of the key engineering solutions used in the Genomtec ID platform.
For companies developing breakthrough molecular diagnostic technologies, intellectual property is more than legal protection. It is a strategic asset. A strong patent portfolio protects unique scientific and engineering solutions, increases the value of the company’s technology, and strengthens its position in discussions with potential business partners and investors.
Each granted patent is therefore not only a scientific and technological achievement, but also an important step toward future commercialization and global market positioning.
