This year, at the MIT Enterprise Forum Poland, Genomtec has received the highest accolades, winning the CVC Young Innovator Awards contest. In tangible terms, this translates into the funding of 100,000 PLN and participation in a boot camp in Boston. Our team has also won a special prize from Wrocław Technology Park (WPT), including free annual access to the open space office at WPT.
– For us, winning the main prize is a signal that the market of molecular diagnostics is still unsaturated, and its potential is recognised and acknowledged to an ever wider extent. Thanks to the funding obtained and subsequent meetings in the US with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) lecturers, we will be able to hone our business skills and develop our technology by learning from the world’s top professionals, says Miron Tokarski, Genomtec CEO.
The MIT Enterprise Forum Poland is one of the largest accelerators for technology start-ups in Poland. This year, a team of Polish and international experts has reviewed the achievements of nearly 250 applicant companies to select 20 best enterprises involved in the development of some unique technologies for the financial, power engineering, health care and agricultural sectors, as well as for industry 4.0. Then, using the support of the Polish and international expert team in the accelerator framework, the representatives of successful companies have been working for three months to fine-tune their business models.
