How to accelerate the development of young innovative technology companies? Undoubtedly, it is crucial to combine 2 supporting elements: tangible resources, such as access to laboratories and technical or technological facilities of partners and, by no means less valuable, knowledge and expertise of Polish and international mentors. Start-ups can benefit in particular from the practical experience of experts as regards the commercialisation process, i.e. building a strategy for the protection and development of value, based on unique know-how or ownership rights. All such opportunities are provided by the MIT Enterprise Forum Poland, one of the largest acceleration programmes on the Polish market for technology start-ups. And Genomtec found itself in a narrow circle of 21 start-ups in which the international jury saw the greatest technological potential and social utility.
Indeed, it is a high-stakes game. Originators of the best ideas can count on cooperation with market giants, such as PKO Bank Polski, the PGNiG Group or the Adamed Group, and have a chance to win 100,000 PLN in the CVC Young Innovator Awards. Solutions presented by the selected start-ups are dedicated to the financial, energy, healthcare and agri-food sectors, as well as industry 4.0. Each start-up has been teamed up with an appropriate programme partner. The ‘Health’ path that Genomtec is involved in is co-created by the Adamed Group. Apart from our mobile molecular diagnostics device, Genomtec ID, the MIT Enterprise Forum Poland features numerous other interesting projects, such as a system for analysing temperature anomalies in animal husbandry, software for an automated inspection of commercial properties or a baby breathing monitor.
