Miron is the co-founder of Genomtec S.A. and its CEO. He is also a laboratory diagnostician. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy with a Division of Medical Analytics at the Medical University of Wrocław. He received the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences in the field of molecular biology in December 2021 at the Medical University of Wrocław.
Author of a number of scientific publications and the co-author of Genomtec patents. Ambitious and young, but already an experienced scientist. He has won a number of awards and honors for his master’s thesis. Head of a research project for the National Science Center.
At Genomtec, in addition to managing the company, Miron actively participates in R&D in the field of molecular biology in the area of infectious diseases.
Michał has over 14 years of experience in the area of corporate finance, investment management and business consulting. Before joining the team, he was an investment director in an actively investing Venture Capital fund. Previously, he was a member of the Management Board of a medium-sized production company in the energy sector and Vice President, Finance in a start-up in the chemical industry. He has advised on a number of transactions in the field of investments, mergers and acquisitions, as well as restructuring processes. Previously, he held operational positions at ARP, TFS, Deloitte, Polimex-Mostostal and Central Europe Trust. He holds a Master’s degree from the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of Finance and Banking and has completed postgraduate studies in Information Technology Transfer to Enterprises.
At Genomtec, he is responsible for the company’s finances.
Ms. Beata Turlejska has extensive managerial experience in building and managing large companies. Since 2017, she has been a Managing Partner at Leonarto Fund, which is one of the major shareholders of Genomtec company. She managed one of the largest marketing agencies in Poland, where she was responsible for clients’ marketing budgets exceeding 50 million PLN annually. Ms. Beata Turlejska holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in finance, and she is a specialist in human resources management and marketing. She is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and Lazarski University in Warsaw.
Gualtiero Garlasco has rich experience in the MedTech industry and general management, including commercial operations, business development, and a documented track record in leading business transformation and driving growth in the diagnostics sector. He is a consultant in the in vitro diagnostics industry, and most recently served as the CEO of Cerus Europe B.V. (a company specializing in biomedical products with a focus on blood safety). Prior to this role at Cerus, Mr. Garlasco was the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing in the Clinical Diagnostics Division of ThermoFisher Scientific, where he was responsible for global commercial activities resulting in approximately $700 million in annual sales. Previously, he also held senior leadership positions at Novartis Diagnostics, Ventana Medical Systems, and bioMérieux. Mr. Gualtiero Garlasco holds a technical higher education degree from Université Chambéry Savoie Chambery in Natural Sciences and Life Sciences, as well as from Université Claude Bernard in Lyon in Biological and Biochemical Analysis. Additionally, he completed an MBA for Executives program at Louisiana State University (New Orleans).
Dr Trevor Hawkins is an entrepreneur, academic leader, and business leader with diverse experience in global healthcare. He is a former director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Human Genome Project, possessing significant technical and academic qualifications, as well as commercial and managerial experience in leading global companies such as GE, Philips, Siemens, and HP. Dr. Hawkins currently serves on several boards in the life science industry. He graduated in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, in 1989, and holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK, awarded in February 1993. He has also participated in courses such as the GE Management Course, General Electric Business Management Course, and Management Course.
Paweł Duszek has many years of professional experience in capital and corporate investment advisory. He participated in many IPO/SPO transactions of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, including those from the life science/medtech industry. He has also dealt with investor relations for biotechnology companies. Pawel has extensive experience in projects involving the acquisition of financing at various stages of companies’ development as well as in M&A transactions.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and a licensed tax advisor. He specialises in issues related to personal income tax and social and health insurance. He gained his professional experience working for the Ministry of Finance and the Big Four firms: Price Waterhouse, Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was the leader of the team dealing with personal tax. In his professional practice, he provided services to executives and managers of the largest Polish companies.
